Abstract: Aluminium based surface composites were fabricated by TIG arc process. B4C mirco and nano particles were filled separately on the grooves of Aluminum substrate and modified the surfaces with different TIG arc speeds. The modified composite surface was characterized by optical microscope, Scanning Electron microscope and X-ray diffraction. The microhardness and wear properties of the composite surface were evaluated. The results of this study revealed that the newly formed nano composite surface enhances the hardness and wear characteristics. The wear worn-out surfaces of the composite surface were analyzed through SEM studies in order to understand the wear mechanisms

Abstract: Biometrics is the discipline to measure physical human characteristics for identification and authentication of an individual. Since ancient times, people have used voice, face and other characteristics for identification of an individual. With evolution, we take the individual characteristics like fingerprint scans, retina and iris image, etc., as inputs to the computer systems and then store or verify them with existing records. This report discusses about biometrics and its recent roles found in the field of healthcare, medicine, genetics and biotechnology. It includes the concept of biometrics, the system used for biometric recognition and its working, types of biometric systems, the different system algorithms applied and system modules which is well illustrated with flow charts and block diagrams. Some of the heath institutes in developed countries have started using biometric systems for checking of patients and/or doctors. Biometry has enabled the proper organization and storage of the health records of individuals in medical institutes. Biometric authentication is also finding a distinct role in foiling medical claims fraud highlighting the advantages of it. Even after processing via a very accurate biometric system there is a chance of a false result due to some disease or injury to the body part subjected to biometry or faulty system leading to some error. There is also a possibility that the biometric system may harm our body. Moreover, the biometric records need really tight system security to prevent any kind of misuse. Biometrics has a great potential to find a lot more uses in the field of healthcare. Many ideas are being proposed for implementation. In future, biometrics can be used to detect potential disease and risks by using methods like adiposity measurement and Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV).

All the passive component used are grounded which is suitable for integrated circuit implementation. In the circuit by applying single input simultaneously low pass, High Pass ,Band Pass ,All Pass and Notch filter is obtained by using two block of Differential Difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier.

Abstract:, The transmission of information in underwater communication is a challenging issue because it is affected by noise from various sources that are due to multipath propagation, signals in underwater channels experience inter symbol interference. In a typical radio frequency communication orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is widely employed to combat the effects of ISI, because OFDM obviates the need for complex equalization techniques. In this paper, the designing OFDM model using Simulink and various OFDM model design will be surveyed and accordingly design is done. The Orthogonal space time block Coding Technique will be introduced to this OFDM Model with different channels. Underwater Communication constitutes the problems like the data rate will be lowest and even the data loss rate, multi-path fading and maximum error bits. So, this OFDM model is designed to overcome all the drawbacks of underwater communication and Orthogonal space time block coding is chosen the best method among various error coding techniques which will provide best result.

Abstract: Most of the industrial applications based upon the surface properties. Aluminum and its alloys are mostly used in the surface application industries due to their excellent mechanical and corrosive properties. However, it exhibits in poor tribological properties. To enhance the mechanical and wear properties of the material grain refinement mechanism is to be incorporated. To improve the surface properties of the material the Friction stir Processing (FSP) Technique is mostly used nowadays. FSP plays an important role in modifying the surface in an efficient, environmentally friendly and economical manner. This review article describes the current status of the FSP Technology in grain refinement of Aluminum alloys.

Abstract: This paper presents simulation and design results for Transformerless Power Convertors which are to be used in conjunction with a PV array for solar applications. The set of converters consists of a boost converter as well as a single phase inverter for conversion of DC supply from the array to a usable AC voltage. The power extraction from the array is done by using the Maximum Power Point tracking (MPPT) algorithm. Simulation is done on Proteus and PSIM.

Abstract: Wind energy sources and technologies have potential to provide solutions to the long-standing energy problems being faced by the developing countries. The renewable energy sources like wind energy can be used to overcome energy shortage in India. To meet the energy requirement for such a fast growing economy, India will require an assured supply of 3–4 times more energy than the total energy consumed today. The renewable energy is one of the options to meet this requirement. In this paper, efforts have been made to summarize the availability, current status of wind energy, wind power potential, wind power growth, repowering wind farms in India and future potentials of renewable energy options in India. This paper also discusses the wind real contribution to electricity demand of India and aspects for improvement of wind technology. This paper also assesses specific policy interventions for overcoming the barriers and enhancing deployment of renewable for the future.

Abstract: Nowadays, power dissipation is among the most dominant concerns in designing a VLSI circuits. Endless improvement in technology has points to an increased requirement for devices which have the basic characteristic of low power consumption. Hence power has turn into a demanding design parameter in low power and high-performance applications. The Adiabatic logic technique is becoming a solution to the dilemma of power dissipation. Adders with huge power consumption affect the overall efficiency of the system. Hence, in this paper, the proposed application of full adder circuit is shown using the Modified Glitch Free Cascadable Adiabatic Logic. The circuit is compared with the conventional CMOS Logic and the power dissipation analysis is simulated with supply voltage = 0.9 V, 1.2 V and 1.8 V to analyze the pattern followed with supply variation at different temperature range. Similarly, the calculation of delay is performed for temperature values of 27˚C, 55˚C and 120˚C at 90nm technology.
